BoiMix Account and Data Deletion Guidelines

At BoiMix, safeguarding user privacy, confidentiality, and data control is our utmost priority. In compliance with Google Play Data Safety and Account Deletion Policy and applicable data privacy regulations, all BoiMix members have the full right to delete their account and request permanent erasure of their personal information at any time.
This document clearly outlines how to request account deletion, what data is permanently wiped, what data is retained for legal compliance, and our deletion schedule.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
You can request account deletion through either of the following two straightforward methods:
Method 1: Directly via BoiMix Mobile App or Website (Recommended)
If you have the BoiMix app installed or are logged into our web platform:

Scroll down to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.

Click the red Delete Account button.

Enter your account password (if applicable) and type DELETE in capital letters to confirm.
*Upon confirmation, you will be instantly logged out from all active sessions, and your account will immediately enter a 30-day grace period.*
Method 2: If You Cannot Access the App or Have Uninstalled It (Alternative Request)
If you no longer have access to the mobile application, have uninstalled it, or lost your device, you may submit a formal deletion request to our Data Protection Support Team:
Email Subject: "Account Deletion Request - [Your Registered Phone Number]"
Required Details:

Your registered mobile number and full name.

Registered email address (if linked).
3.
Reason for leaving (optional).
*Our verification team will confirm your ownership via a secure one-time passcode (OTP) or verification link sent to your registered contact channel before initiating the permanent removal process.*
2. What Data Is Permanently Deleted
Once your deletion request is finalized, the following personal data categories are permanently and irrevocably purged from our live production databases:

3. Data Retained for Legal & Financial Compliance
In strict adherence to international commercial standards and local statutory requirements, certain minimal records may be retained for limited periods:

Financial and Transaction Records: In accordance with financial audit, anti-money laundering (AML), and tax regulations in Bangladesh, records of completed monetary payments, invoices, and bank/mobile financial payouts must be securely archived for the mandatory statutory period.

Active Orders or Unreturned Borrows: If you have an active in-transit book order, unreturned borrowed book, or active dispute, account deletion is temporarily suspended until physical book returns and escrow settlements are completely resolved to protect community trust.

Fraud & Abuse Prevention: Obfuscated security hashes associated with past fraudulent activity or banned accounts may be kept exclusively to defend the community against repeated abuse.
4. 30-Day Grace Period and Timeline
Immediate Action: Upon confirming deletion, all user sessions terminate instantly. Your profile, book listings, and public activity are immediately hidden from all other platform members.
30-Day Grace Window: A 30-day security grace period is maintained to allow completion of pending courier deliveries, dispute handlings, and accidental deletion inquiries.
Permanent Hard Purge: At the conclusion of the 30th day, automated backend scheduled tasks execute a hard purge, irreversibly scrubbing all personal identifying data from active storage.
